We encourage the children in the nursery to try new foods and experiment with cooking in our popular cookery classes held weekly. From September 2017 the children will also be able to join in with our Fun Fitness Club: Healthy Heroes, designed to engage interest and enthusiasm in being active and eating healthy food.
We are delighted to be working in partnership with Local Mum Celine, from Petit Gourmet as a provider of 100% fresh organic meals delivered to the children here in the nursery each day. Celine visits the nursery every day and is available to answer any questions you may have. Parents can chose from the weekly menus, receive recipes and little surprises to try each week.
It can often be a challenge to encourage young children to enjoy fruits, this recipe is a fun way to engage children in preparing food and creating something delicious and nutritious.
Blend the Greek yogurt, honey/agave syrup and vanilla extract.
In half of this mixture, add a few berries and place into the ice pop moulds. Freeze the pops for about 15 minutes, just to harden them up.
Meanwhile, blend the remaining mixture with the remaining berries.
Add this mix to the ice pop moulds and freeze at least 3-4 hours.
Replace berries by other fruits such as mango, kiwi, bananas, strawberries, coconuts, watermelon.
